Scott Humpal - PT
Scott Humpal, PT is the owner of Humpal Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Centers. He grew up in Butte, Nebraska. He participated in football, basketball, wrestling, track and baseball. He attended the Univ. of Nebraska, studying science, coaching, and athletic training. Then he transferred to the Univ. of Nebraska Medical Center where he graduated with a degree in PT in 1988. After graduation, Scott worked at a rural hospital in South Dakota, then moved to CC. His first job in So. TX was at Riverside Hospital in Calallen, then for a local outpatient clinic for 6 months, and then he decided to open his own practice. Unable to secure a business loan, $20,000 was scraped together from family members, and the first Humpal clinic was opened in Sinton, Texas in August of 1989. He now has 6 locations in the Coastal Bend. Scott has built his practice and reputation on providing progressive and quality care for all patients.
Nancy Parrish - Business Manager
Nancy was the first employee of Humpal P.T. back in 1989 when we were known as Sinton Physical Therapy and her business office was a utility closet. She oversees all of the day to day transactions of the business office from scheduling, billing, collections, accounts receivable, accts. payable, banking, etc.
Ken R. Weir - HR & Marketing Director
Ken joined the Humpal team in June of 1993. He is responsible for referral development, public relations, human resources, advertising, web site development, quality control with physician and patient follow ups, and organizing special events & functions.
Ken is the Human Resource Manager and Marketing Director of Humpal Physical Therapy's six facilities in Corpus Christi, Calallen, Alice, Aransas Pass, Portland and Rockport, Tx.
He is a Corpus Christi native, graduated from King High School in 1974, and in his early career had a wide variety of occupations ranging from an auto mechanic in a Pontiac Dealership, to the Retail Business Manager and Finance Manager of a Porsche Audi Dealership. In 1981 he completed the required hours for real estate licensure at The American College of Real Estate, but then never pursued that career due to the uncertain and inflationary Real Estate market in the early 80's. He has also attended Del Mar College, but he claims his strongest skills have been developed with his 30 years experience in sales and marketing.
He is an eternal optimist, prides himself in his positive attitude, and always loves a good challenge.
He enjoys sailing, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, working around the house, gardening and tinkering with new ideas he calls his "inventions".
Ken is the step father to 5 children, Nicholas, Nathan, Ryan, Christa, Shannon, with his wife Gina, and he also has a step son, Korey, by a previous marriage.
